Hi, I’m Zack. For more than a decade, I’ve photographed real people painted in reflective gold. My work brings together the human form, careful posing, and controlled light to create images with the presence of sculpture and the individuality of a portrait.

My French background and Italian roots have shaped my love of art, beauty, and the expressive power of the body. A near-death experience also changed the way I think about my work and the time we have to make it. It strengthened my commitment to creating photographs that mean something to the people in them.

When you work with me, you take part in the making of the image. I listen to your ideas, paint you in gold, and guide you through the photoshoot. You can bring a clear vision or arrive curious about what we might create together.

Why Gold?

Gold catches light in a way few colors can. Across art and history, it has been used to suggest value, celebration, and permanence. In my photographs, it also lets us see a familiar person in an unfamiliar way.

I use reflective gold-colored body paint on real people. Pose and lighting create the luminous effect you see in the photographs; the finished prints contain no physical gold. What matters most to me is the person beneath the paint—their expression, movement, and presence.

Gold can mean something different to each participant. You might see it as a celebration of a milestone, a way to express confidence, or simply a beautiful material for making art. You don’t need to share a particular belief to enjoy the experience.

The Gold Photoshoot Experience: A Note from Zack

We begin with a conversation. I want to know what drew you to the experience and how you would like to see yourself in the finished images. Some people arrive with detailed ideas; others prefer to explore possibilities together.

We’ll discuss the visual direction and how much coverage you want. You might choose an elegant figurative portrait, flowing fabric or ribbons, or a favorite gold outfit. The session is designed around your comfort and the image we’re creating.

Then comes the gold application. Watching your appearance change can be playful, surprising, and moving. If you would like a quiet moment to breathe or set an intention before we begin, we can make room for that too.

During the photoshoot, I guide your posture and movement while working with the light. There is no need to know how to pose. A small change in the angle of your face or the placement of your hands can give an image its strength.

After the session, you’ll have photographs created through a real collaboration between artist and subject. My hope is that you recognize yourself in them—and perhaps discover an expression of yourself you had not seen before.

Together, we will focus on your intentions and discover the title for the next chapter of your life's journey. What Are You Going to Wear?

Once fully body painted in gold, you have a variety of options! You can choose to wear elegant, flowing fabrics (GOLD, WHITE, PINK, RED...) that complement your golden glow, minimalistic accessories to highlight your transformation, or even nothing at all to fully embody the purity and divine energy of gold. The choice is yours to express your unique essence!

What If You Don’t Like It?

If for any reason you don’t feel the experience meets your expectations, which is very unlikely, I am here to address any concerns and work with you to ensure your spiritual needs are fully met. 

What Is The Product Used On Your Skin?

For the gold body painting, we use Mehron Metallic Gold Makeup Powder, trusted by professional makeup artists in the entertainment industry. For an additional cost, we also offer the option to use real gold leaves but it’s a whole different process. Please inquire for more details.
